ken-hurd-Sir-Clough-Williams-EllisThe Observation Tower in the italianate village of Portmeirion on the coast of North Wales which was built over a period of fifty years from 1926 by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. A camera obscura mechanism was installed in the tower in 1939 and is one of only a dozen permanent examples of this kind of device in the UK.
